Formed by songwriter Steve Harley, Cockney Rebel exploded onto the scene in 1973, when signing to EMI, and emerging with their debut album, the Human Menagerie, and first single 'Sebastian'. with it's classical keyboard arrangements, the single definitely generated interest in the band, and was a big success internationally.
