The Buckinghams are an American Sunshine pop[1] band from Chicago, Illinois. They formed in 1966, and went on to become one of the top selling acts of 1967. The Buckinghams disbanded in 1970, but reformed in 1980. The band's original lineup included Carl Giammarese (lead guitar and vocals), Nick Fortuna (bass), Dennis Miccolis (keyboards), ("Jon-Jon") John Poulos (drums), Curtis Bachman (vocals), and Dennis Tufano (vocals). Bachman departed after the band's first single.
These include Curtis Bachman, John Turner, Tom Radtke, Tom Osfar, John Cammelot, Laurie Beebe Lewis, Barb Unger-Wertico, Larry Nestor, Bob Abrams, Dave Zane, and Bruce “Rocky” Penn. Keyboardist/vocalist Bruce Soboroff has backed Carl and Nick since 1986 and Tom Scheckel played drums from 1986–2010 and rejoined the band in 2023.
