What the school says... Woldingham is one of the UK’s leading boarding and day schools for girls aged 11-18. Set within 700 acres of the most beautiful Surrey countryside, Woldingham provides an inspiring and safe place for students to become confident, compassionate and courageous young women.
With a solid reputation and a desirable location for domestic and international recruitment, Woldingham School is usually over-subscribed for the main entry points at age 11+, 13+ and 16+. It is always beneficial to register early, although the school is willing to consider suitable girls should occasional places become available at other times.
Initially a full boarding school, Woldingham now has more than 600 students and is a well-balanced mix of boarders and day girls. Woldingham celebrated our 180 th anniversary in the 2022-23 school year. To mark this important milestone, we enjoyed a range of events including a series of academic talks, a short history of the school and a new film.
Woldingham School Foundation - Launched during our 175th anniversary in 2017, the primary focus of our ten-year development plan is to raise funds for our transformational bursary programme, enabling girls to benefit from a Woldingham education whatever their financial circumstances.

Woldingham School wurde 1842 gegründet und gehört zu den „Sacred Heart“-Schulen. Die Society of the Sacred Heart wurde in Frankreich von Magdalena Sophie Barat gegründet. Die erste Sacred-Heart-Schule wurde 1801 in Amiens eröffnet. Danach wurden viele andere Schulen innerhalb Europas (später auch in Amerika) gegründet.
