Adams Lake is a deep, cold-water lake in south-central British Columbia, which separates the Thompson and Shuswap regions and the Thompson–Nicola and Columbia–Shuswap regional districts. The upper reaches lie in the northern Monashee Mountains, while the lower end penetrates the Shuswap Highland.
Known for its abundance of painted turtles, Adam Lake offers a range of activities, such as biking, fishing, and canoeing. As a unique fact, this area was the first inhabited location in Manitoba after the last ice age, making it a historically significant destination.
Adam Lake Trail is a nice wide walking path that takes visitors around the entirety of Adam Lake. There are numerous lake views and many opportunities to see a variety of bird species as well as other local wildlife. Many scenic benches and rest stops are available for a quick break!
