This is a very fine collection of Howlin' Wolf songs, perfect for the blues enthusiast who wants to trace the roots of your favorite Yardbirds, Stones, Bonamassa, etc blues lineage. Wolf had his own style and executed it with panache. A 19-year-old Ike Turner on piano. Wish he had stuck to just pounding on a keyboard.

Howlin' Wolf (6'3" 300lb) is considered a blues legend, and rightly so from what I heard with this record right here. I think the star of the show is The Wolf's powerful, gritty vocals- very apparent on his most popular cut "Smokestack Lightning".
