Willam Goldman’s novel No Way to Treat a Lady came about when Goldman was suffering from writer’s block while working on a different novel. Goldman read an article about The Boston Strangler when there was speculation about two killers; Goldman thought what if one of the serial killers was jealous of the other and that became the Genesis of “No Way to Treat a Lady”.
