11 de jun. de 2012 · One left, with no real leads to go by. After a bit of searching, Gary Lovetro was the final piece, and I was lucky to find him too. Three different times I packaged up the album and mailed it out, and three times it came back to me with a beautiful signature added on. Everybody was glad to sign the LP, and I am thankful for that.
21 de nov. de 2018 · The second album was recorded and released in 1968. It saw the departure of Gary Lovetro. We moved to a bigger studio. We had the same manager and producer and engineer. A couple of memories standout; One was meeting Sonny Bono and watching him producing a big band jazz session. I have no idea what it was, but he was in total control.
The original band members are: Ed King (vocals), Mark Weitz (keyboards), Lee Freeman (rhythm guitar; died February 14, 2010), Gary Lovetro (bass), and Randy Seol (drums). The group signed with the Uni record label in 1967 and scored a massive smash success with the insanely catchy and groovy "Incense and Peppermints," which peaked at #1 on the Billboard pop charts in 1967.
