25 de may. de 2020 · Introducing Yojimbo. Yojimbo is one of Akira Kurosawa's most popular samurai films of the black and white era. On the surface, the story appears one-dimensional, but there is more to Yojimbo than meets the eye. Just like the main character Sanjuro, the film also hides its depth behind a facade of bold power plays and playful banter.
A young man, Kohei (Yoshio Tsuchiya) and his young son (Yosuke Natsuki), come into Gonji's tavern and watch anxiously. There is a plan to exchange the two men for Yoichiro, but Unosuke shoots the two men. In response, Seibei reveals he has a second bargaining chip as well, the beautiful Nui (Yôko Tsukasa).

Significa hablar de injusticia, de cobardía, de valentía, de matar sin piedad, de venderse al mejor postor sin tener en cuenta unos principios morales, o como decía Bruce Willis en el excelente y olvidado remake de esta película, de la maldición de venir al mundo sin conciencia.
