Susan Rothenberg (born 1945) is an American contemporary painter, printmaker, and draughtswoman. She has achieved a place of prominence through her iconic images of the horse, in which she synthesized the opposing forces of abstraction and representation. She lives and works in New Mexico, USA. Rothenberg was born in Buffalo, New York, in 1945.

Rothenberg began practicing at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in 1997 as a member of Downtown Women OB/GYN Associates, later joining the faculty practice in 2000. In addition to maintaining an active general obstetrics and gynecology practice, Dr. Rothenberg is a recognized expert in breastfeeding medicine.

Her solo exhibitions include early presentations at Kunsthalle Basel (1981-82), the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (1982) and an exhibition organized by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art that traveled to seven institutions in the United States and abroad (1983-85).
