Featuring several hit singles with "Oh My My" and "I Love You Better, " this pop masterpiece features both Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones superstar vocals and first class musicianship.

Recording Sessions for Changes. February 5, 1970. New York City "Tell Me Love", "I Love You Better", "Oh My My" P: Jeff Barry Though Michael was technically still a member of The Monkees, he was not required to participate in their recordings. In fact, he had formed The First National Band and was recording their first album, Magnetic South.
Been a Monkees fan for most of my life (that spans about 5 decades) Changes is my least favorite Monkees lp. But. My genuine feeling is it's not that bad. Get rid of 3 or 4 tunes, invite some Nez stuff in, this would be a keeper. Can't change the past. No pun intended.
• The group starred in the surreal and psychedelic 1968 film Head, cowritten by a then-unknown Jack Nicholson. • When the sitcom was canceled in 1968, the band carried on touring and releasing albums, though Tork left in 1968 and Nesmith quit in 1970. Jones and Dolenz worked as a duo on The Monkees’ ninth album, 1970’s Changes.
