Ronnie Montrose (Denver, 29 novembre 1947 – Millbrae, 3 marzo 2012) è stato un chitarrista statunitense. Egli è particolarmente noto per essere stato il fondatore dei Montrose e in seguito dei meno noti Gamma , ma ha anche collaborato con noti artisti come Edgar Winter e Van Morrison , oltre ad aver intrapreso una carriera solista, attiva soprattutto negli anni novanta .

31 de mar. de 2022 · Ronnie continued his solo career, briefly joined Seattle’s Rail in ’85, assembled a new Montrose in ’87, and guested as session player on albums by Hagar and Paul Kantner. After surviving prostate cancer in 2009, he died on March 3, 2012, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the wake of personal tragedies and having suffered clinical depression since childhood.

"Territory" has been described as clean and very well put together, with a hint of Eno, but all Ronnie Montrose, with smashing guitar and unbelievable drum and voice effects. Edgar Winter makes an appearance on saxophone, while Hilary Hanes handles bass, and a trio of drummers (Steve Bellino, John Hanes, Andre B. Chapman) keep the rhythms.
