When ready to record, Wolf enlisted members of his road band the Midnight Travelers (including keyboardist Kenny White, his co-producer). A Cure for Loneliness marked the singer's debut for Concord. It included nine new originals and three covers -- most notably a bluegrass reworking of the J. Geils Band hit "Love Stinks."
