After several years of close collaboration, Madame Berçot entrusted the management in 1971 to Marie Rucki, a former student active in the fashion world, who renamed the Studio Berçot. The decline of haute couture and the rise of ready-to-wear during the 1970s developed a large number of professional activities around fashion design.
Studio Berçot, a private higher technical education establishment in Paris, has announced that it is halting its activities. The school has trained many internationally renowned fashion designers, and was renowned for its teaching which focused on the development of each individual's personality.
