  4. 10 de feb. de 2007 · Well to be honest I'm only giving Outside the Dream Syndicate such a hard time because I know what the early 70's was truly capable of in terms of innovation and influential creativity. This isn't it, but maybe you'll get more out of the album than I can. 3 stars is a fair rating I think. I don't hate the album, but I don't care for it either.

  6. 31 de ene. de 2018 · Outside the Dream Syndicate is a lesson in what the Velvet Underground took from Le Monte Young and Company, namely John Cage’s static violin screech (played here by Conrad) and Mo Tucker’s primitive drum thump (played here by Faust’s Werner “Zappi” Diermaier.) I won’t lie to you; Side One’s “The Side of Men and Women” is a slog.

"Outside The Dream Syndicate" is collaboration record between avant-garde composer Tony Conrad and the krautrock group Faust, it was originally released in 1973 on Caroline Records, 20 years later the compact disk reissue was released, with an extra track "From The Side Of Woman And Mankind" and only in 2016 a vinyl reissue came out.
