4 de may. de 2021 · There are many ways to approach the story of Rickie Lee Jones. But let’s start with an anecdote from studio drummer Jeff Porcaro, who was called in as session player on RLJ’s second album Pirates—allegedly because Jones had admired his brush work at a previous session.

Después de unos años sin nuevos discos en 1989 y contratada por el sello Geffen Records lanzó el álbum Flying cowboys, siendo el single Satellites el más destacado. Su carrera continuó con la publicación de los álbumes (en la misma discográfica), Pop pop (91) y Traffic from paradise (93).
