Bricks Are Heavy is the third studio album by American rock band L7, released on April 14, 1992, by Slash Records. The album peaked at number 160 on the US Billboard 200 and number one on the Heatseekers Albums chart. As of June 2000, Bricks Are Heavy has sold 327,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan.

Although “Pretend We’re Dead” may have been more of a mainstream hit, “Shitlist” had the most enthusiastic response from the crowd throughout the night.

LA-founded hard-rock hellraisers L7 preceded the grunge and riot grrrl movements, and fought against being pigeonholed as an ‘all-girl band’. Decades later, though, they’re still lazily lumped in with these scenes and still labelled as such. So, in tribute to L7 and their savage 1992 album Bricks Are Heavy, we’re going to right that wrong and convince you to put it in heavy rotation.
7 de dic. de 2006 · Just getting round to buying this vinyl edition of L7's Bricks Are Heavy, its very good, a great pressing and sounds awesome! Saw them in the 90's supporting Megadeth and bought the cd, so the music is very familiar. No qualms about recommending the vinyl, its dynamic, a heavyweight 180 grm record.
