If you are a 10th, 11th, or 12th grader who did not attend La Cueva last year, or a 9th grader who attended a Middle School that allowed 8th graders to participate in High School Athletics, there is additional paperwork required in order for you to participate in Athletics at La Cueva.   5. La Cueva High School opened in 1986 and currently has around 1800 students. It is part of the 5A Division in the NMAA State High Schools. Several notable alumni including famous actors, musicians, composers, filmmakers, race car drivers, military officers and national and Olympic athletes.
