His most recognized album, Sea of Glass, 1992, peaked at #11 on the Billboard Top New Age Albums chart. Reaves got his start in the Nashville country music business in the 1980s, as an engineer working for producer Marshall Montgomery.

Giles Reaves - Sea of Glass. "Sea of Glass" is consistently tranquil but with an exciting edge, like a really good movie soundtrack, but without the dramatic swooshes. Reeves is much more subtle with his synthesizers than say, Vangelis, and less airy and predictable than Kitaro, and far less pretentious than either.
