Yoko Ono nació el 18 de febrero de 1933 en Tokio, Japón. Familia Hija de Yeisuke Ono e Isoko Ono. Fue criada en el seno de una familia de banqueros que se relacionó con la realeza y que en 1940 se trasladó a Nueva York durante un año. Su padre fue destinado a Hanoi, regresando la familia a Tokio.
