Gowan joined Styx in 1999, replacing founding member Dennis DeYoung. He has since released two albums with the band, Cyclorama (2003) and Big Bang Theory (2005). Gowan has been married to his wife, Laura, since 1985. They have two children, a son and a daughter. He currently resides in Toronto, Canada.

Canada's Larry Gowan, aka Gowan, is a powerful rock vocalist known for his solo albums and for replacing Dennis DeYoung as the lead singer of Styx in 1999.
