That is incorrect. It's the number of requests being blocked. A single ad can have anywhere from one to a dozen tracking pixels attached to it. So blocking one single banner ad could potential read as 10+ blocked requests. That means one single webpage with three banner ads can instantly register as 30+ requests.
YouTube has now begun skipping videos altogether for users with ad blockers. This is a war they cannot win. It's just putting temporary bandages on. Users who don't want to watch ads will always find ways to circumvent the latest thing they try. They are fighting an asymmetric war, guerilla type.

28 de may. de 2024 · I tried using YouTube without a blocker for a bit a while ago when my blocker was temporarily not working due to one of their crack downs. It was a terrible experience and if they ever figured out a way to keep all blockers off their site I just wouldnt use YouTube due to this.
