I recall alot of these ideas being thrown around in 2020. There was a feeling as if reality immediately after season 1 aired, was live writing the plot for a second season; all the way down to owlman escaping prison via riots. I think wanting to slap a watchmen skin over every major instance of the past couple years is misguided.

Instead of focusing on the group, watchmen. Everyone is apart of the watchmen. Everyone wants to be like that, which just leads to the down fall of a society. If you can wear a mask, do something you think is right, but know it's illegal and you get away with it. Why not do it again? Especially if everyone else is doing it.
