Scheherazade and Other Stories is the sixth studio album by the English progressive rock band Renaissance, released in 1975. Some critics consider it their best album, although others prefer earlier albums.
"Scheherazade and Other Stories" is Renaissance who were at the peak of their powers in the 70s golden era of prog. A male dominated universe of prog was infiltrated by the likes of Annie Haslam's enchanting vocal prowess.
6 de ago. de 2014 · Unique among true prog masterpieces is the 24-minute suite Song Of Scheherazade, which forms the second half of this 1975 album, now released on a Hybrid SACD. The sound is crystal clear, but then, it always was.
Live at Carnegie Hall is a 1976 live double album by the English progressive rock band Renaissance. It presented songs from all of the band's Annie Haslam -era studio albums thus far, including the forthcoming (at the time of the concerts [3]) Scheherazade and Other Stories . Expanded 2019 edition.
11 de may. de 2022 · This is one of the better liner notes I’ve seen from this author, filled less by his regular hyperbole and more with fascinating band member interviews, including Annie Haslam, Jon Camp and Terry Sullivan, as they reflect on their time in Abbey Road Studios recording the album.
The 1975 Renaissance album Scheherazade And Other Stories contains a 24-minute suite called "Song Of Scheherazade," which is based on the Persian tale of a woman (Scheherazade), who is chosen to spend a night with the king.
