24 de may. de 2019 · Double comparatives are phrases commonly used in English to express increasing or decreasing returns. Double comparatives are often employed to underline the importance of doing or not doing a certain activity. Here are some examples of double comparatives: The more you study, the more you learn.
Los comparativos dobles son aquellas frases que consisten en dos clausulas relacionadas, la primera establece la condición que muestra una cualidad o cantidad y la segunda muestra el resultado. Una caracteristica a destacar es que ambas clausulas inician con el artíclo “The”. En ingles a estas frases se les conoce como double comparatives.
14 de ene. de 2021 · A double comparative is a sentence that compares two things. Forming adjectives and adverbs in the comparative degree can be a little tricky. Adjectives in the comparative degree end in -er, such as newer in the previous sentence “My car is newer than his car.”.
18 de ago. de 2016 · Así es la regla: The + comparative + subject + verb, the + comparative + subject + verb. Example: The more you study, the more you’ll improve your level of English = cuanto más estudies, más mejorarás tu nivel de inglés. A veces podemos omitir el subject + verb: the more, the better = cuanto más, mejor (si se sobreentiende de qué estamos hablando)
A double comparative is a grammar mistake caused by applying two ways of forming a comparative instead of one. More common in speech than in writing, a double comparative is typically formed when someone uses both '-er' and 'more' instead of just one (e.g., more taller).
El uso del comparativo doble o el double comparative con el artículo THE, te permitirá crear oraciones que podrían indicar un incremento, disminución, comparación o simplemente, causa y efecto.
