Chicle (/ ˈ tʃ ɪ k əl /) is a natural gum traditionally used in making chewing gum and other products. It is collected from several species of Mesoamerican trees in the genus Manilkara , including M. zapota , M. chicle , M. staminodella , and M. bidentata .
