Rick Nesta. Bob Avery. Burton Stahl (deceased) Dane Donohue. The Music Explosion was an American garage rock band from Mansfield, Ohio, discovered and signed by record producers Jerry Kasenetz and Jeffry Katz . The quintet is best known for their number two hit, "Little Bit O' Soul".
4 de jun. de 2017 · Rick Nesta and Burton Stahl of the Music Explosion reflect on having the #1 hit in the nation 50 years ago. Unlike others who have a brush with fame, they have always seemed so humble and well grounded when talking about their time under the bright lights.
Just as the Beatles were beginning to happen, Tudor and Rick got their first act together. “The line-up keep changing, because of the draft, but it started to get good in ’63,” said Nesta.
Rick Nesta and myself revived the band in the late '80s and have been doing it off and on ever since. We have our core group that we play with and put the show on. © Gary James.
