Sans's attack style is focused on platforming, spontaneity, and forcing quick decisions. Unlike other battles in Undertale, Sans always attacks first at the start of the battle. Strongest attack. There are three segments for the first attack: Sans activates Blue Mode and throws the SOUL to the bottom of the Bullet Board.
Encounters are the battles (FIGHTs) with enemies that either occur at random or in predetermined locations. During a battle, the protagonist can interact with an enemy in many different ways through ACTs, but the enemies present must be either killed or spared to end the encounter.
Chives Mustardkale has only 1 HP, 1 ATK, and 1 DEF, so he would normally be a very easy enemy. To make up for this, he bends the rules of the game to get an advantage: Although the battle is still turn-based, he takes his turn first. Just as you (attempt) to dodge his attacks, he dodges your attacks as well, making your AT STAT useless against him.
