Sugarloaf Mountain ( Portuguese: Pão de Açúcar, pronounced [ˈpɐ̃w dʒ (i) ɐˈsukaʁ]) is a peak situated in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at the mouth of Guanabara Bay on a peninsula that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean.
3 de ene. de 2023 · It’s a seriously difficult rock scramble, set aside for experienced hikers and brave souls. As part of the premier day hike of the Cathedral Ranges State Park – the Southern Circuit, the Wells Cave Track is an optional route to reach the top of Sugarloaf Peak.
27 de jun. de 2021 · The Sugarloaf Peak hike is a 10.6 km loop, grade 5 hike located in Victoria in the Great Dividing Range. The hike should take around 4-5 hours to complete but you have the option of the tougher Wells Cave track or the easier Canyon track. Highlights. Some serious rock scrambling (more like free climbing!) A tight squeeze through Wells Cave.
Sugarloaf Peak is an easily reached 11,000 ft. summit which overlooks Albion Basin, Secret Lake, and much of Utah's Alta ski resort. The easy terrain and relatively high trailhead elevation combine to make Sugarloaf Peak arguably one of the easiest of the Wasatch 11'ers to ascend.
24 de jun. de 2023 · Be warned though – hiking Sugarloaf Peak via Wells Cave Track is not for the faint-hearted. The route requires you to squeeze through very claustrophobic rock faces and ascend up some near vertical, seemingly impossible-to-scale rock walls. You could even call it bouldering.
The climb up to Sugarloaf Peak (Barralbarayi) via Wells Cave is a very steep climb that involves some strenuous scrambling and bouldering which should not be attempted by beginners. Along Sugarloaf Saddle you'll find beautiful sweeping views as you descend on Canyon Track across the razorback of the Cathedral Ranges (Nanadhong).
Sugarloaf is a silent giant, looming over the southern Bitterroots in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, seldom seeing visitors despite being visible from nearby Highway 93. (From the Trapper Peak information sign south of Darby, the peak is the pyramid visible on the right skyline.)
