Painwheel (En japonés: ペインホイール) fue una vez una niña de la escuela, dulce, cariñosa llamada Carol (En japonés: キャロル) antes de su secuestro y se transformó en el monstruo que es hoy por Valentine y Brain Drain.
Painwheel is one of the eight original playable characters in Skullgirls and is the only one with the ability to fly indefinitely.
Painwheel. Once a normal schoolgirl named Carol, Painwheel was kidnapped by Valentine and delivered to the Anti-Skullgirls Labs' secretive Lab Zero. There she was implanted with the synthetic Buer Drive and Gae Bolga parasites and infused with experimental Skullgirl blood, transforming her into the monster she is today.
Painwheel is the typical “glass cannon” character. She is capable of dealing massive amounts of damage very quickly. However, she also has an extremely low HP pool. From a pure base stats standpoint, Painwheel is the most lopsided character in the game.

Painwheel uses the Gae Bolga to created massive needles to stab her opponents. When successful, she brings them in towards her and brutally attacks them with the Buer Drive. +
