Miguel O'Hara was a scientist who started working for Alchemax, after signing a contract for Rapture. However, he wasn't satisfied with his job and started hallucinating of the erased previous 2099. When he started researching the mutated Thorites from the Ravage, he was attacked by the "Spider Man".
In the Spider-Man 2099 universe, Miguel O'Hara is a brilliant geneticist. He works as a scientist, specializing in genetics at Alchemax, a mega-corporation in the year 2099. However, after gaining spider-like powers, he also takes on the role of a vigilante, becoming the Spider-Man of his time.
