15 de ago. de 2023 · According to Far Out Magazine, Stahl and Grohl had a falling out during the songwriting process. Stahl was reportedly fired on a conference call in 1999 (via NME ). He had only made a few contributions to Foo Fighters' music history during his short time with the band.
28 de nov. de 2020 · To make a bad situation worse for Stahl, he was fired from the band, according to NME, via conference call, which is never a good way to go out. The official reasoning, Grohl told Kerrang! (via NME ), was: "It just seemed like the three of us were moving in one direction and Franz wasn't."
Wool, Foo Fighters. Franz Kenneth Stahl (born October 30, 1961) is an American guitarist, best known for being a member of the Washington, D.C. hardcore punk band Scream alongside his brother Pete Stahl. Stahl was also an early member of the rock band Foo Fighters from 1997 to 1999.
Prior to recording, guitarist Franz Stahl was fired, as frontman Dave Grohl felt the guitarist had not found his place in the band. At that point, Grohl decided that the band would just be a three-piece for the record, along with bassist Nate Mendel and drummer Taylor Hawkins.

31 de mar. de 2022 · In 1999, Stahl was fired in a conference call, and while he's quick to note that his two years with the band were the best ones in his life, he's still pretty sore about the unceremonious way his life as a Foo Fighter ended. "There's never been any sort of closure on any of it," Stahl said in 2015. "And we're going on 20 years now."
