Budgie were a Welsh heavy metal band from Cardiff. The band formed in 1967, and recorded a demo the following year. In 1971, their first album (of blues-oriented hard rock), produced by Rodger Bain, was released by MCA.

23 de feb. de 2020 · Budgie tuvo un receso a fines de los ochenta y a mediados de los noventa impactaron en USA y tomaron fuerza gracias también a los covers hechos por bandas tan aclamadas como Metallica, Iron Maiden y Soundgarden. La banda siguió activa hasta 2010, editando su último trabajo en 2006.
