William DeKova White (born January 28, 1934) is an American former professional baseball first baseman. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York / San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, and Philadelphia Phillies.
31 de ene. de 2017 · After his playing career ended with the Cardinals and Phillies, White broke barriers in baseball broadcasting, becoming the first African-American to do play-by-play for a Major League team, as from 1971-88, White was one of the voices of the Yankees.
