20 de feb. de 2018 · There seem to be a number of ways to make a good bodyguard. In combat, certainly controlling enemies, keeping their focus on your, or otherwise preventing them from getting to your ward is helpful. If they do get to your ward, making it hard for enemies to hit your ward is also helpful.
19 de feb. de 2018 · Skill proficiencies are also helpful for a bodyguard, particularly Perception, Insight, Athletics (to push through throngs of adoring fans, for instance), and Intimidate. Alternatively, Abjurer offers Projected Ward and the utility of Wizard spells.

I'd reflavor a Shield Guardian as their bodyguard. Plenty of protective abilities, including absorbing damage inflicted on the person they're protecting.

Best bodyguard IMO that's actually a fighter (a paladin imo is better at the role) is probably the battlemaster. Get bait & switch. That's all you need, you're done, just build as a battlemaster thereafter and you're good.
