Geography and environment. A map of the Turks and Caicos Islands. The two island groups are in the North Atlantic Ocean about 160 kilometres (99 mi) north of Hispaniola and about 1,000 kilometres (620 mi) from Miami in the United States, at 21°46′48″N 71°48′00″W.
The Turks and Caicos Islands are only about 60 km long, and consist of over 40 islands and cays. These islands have fabulous beaches throughout; in particular, Grace Bay. Map.
