Hace 4 días · Chișinău, city and capital of Moldova (Moldavia). It is situated along the Bâcu (Byk) River, in the south-central part of the country. The first documentary reference to Chișinău dates to 1466, when it was under the rule of the Moldavian prince Ștefan III.
Chișinău is located on the river Bâc, a tributary of the Dniester, at 47°0′N 28°55′E, with an area of 120 km 2 (46 sq mi). The municipality comprises 635 km 2 (245 sq mi). The city lies in central Moldova and is surrounded by a relatively level landscape with very fertile ground.
