A map of the globe on a flat projection, based on the ideas of the Flat Earth Society. The map shows longitude, time, and solstices, and was reprinted and annotated by Lone Star Art in 2013.

8 de oct. de 2016 · Alexander Gleason created and patented this map to show how longitude and time could be calculated by tracing an indicator around the globe. Essentially, this map uses a polar azimuthal projection, centering the North Pole and flattening the globe outwards around the edges.
13 de jun. de 2022 · The Gleason map is a north-polar azimuthal equidistant projection with additional information on the June and December solstices. It depicts Antarctica as the outer rim and includes names of various locations in this outer Antarctic ring.
