South East London - Poorer areas with lots of housing estates, plus a smattering of arty folk in Peckham and New Cross. South West London - Yuppies around Clapham, Battersea, Putney and Balham, the rest is mainly middle class family areas. East London - Mix of immigrants and hipsters.

West is best! I’ve lived in Hammersmith, Acton Town, and Chiswick and Shoreditch. I found West to be calmer, cleaner, and friendlier. East is really cool and has lots of culture & arts but I can always travel there and live somewhere calmer
