Prushka, escorted by an Umbra Hand, sobs after seeing the fate of her papa. The Umbra Hand retrieves Bondrewd's mask and whistle. Through the power of the Special Grade Artifact, Zoaholic, Bondrewd is not dead and is instead inhabiting the body of the Umbra Hand that had been escorting Prushka.
The mask is his identity, nothing more. He could easily go without it so no one recognizes him due to having whatever random face belonged to his new body.

If I understand it correctly Bondrewd no longer has his original body and probably hasn't for a while. His consciousness/soul are stored in his mask. His original body is his whistle. The mask has nothing to do with zoaholic itself.
