Al llegar a la región Unova/Teselia, Ash conoce a un nuevo rival llamado Trip, que elige a un Snivy como su Pokémon inicial, con quien tiene su primer combate. Después, conoce a Iris y a su Axew y posteriormente Cilan/Millo, el líder del Gimnasio Striaton/Gres, quien decide viajar con Ash e Iris.

Ash Ketchum (サトシ Satoshi en japonés) es el protagonista del anime de Pokémon. Ha aparecido en todos los episodios desde el primero, incluyendo todas las películas. Ha viajado por Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Teselia, Kalos, Alola y Galar.
Ash Ketchup, conocido en Japón como Satoshi (サトシ?), fue el protagonista de la serie de anime Pokémon. Mide 1.45 m, pesa 38 kg y tiene 10 años en el inicio de la serie. Es un Entrenador Pokémon originario de Pueblo Paleta, de la región Kanto.

Ash Ketchum, the protagonist of the Pokémon franchise, hails from Pallet Town in the Kanto region. His journey as a Pokémon trainer commences here, and he returns to this hometown after exploring each region. Pallet Town is also the location of Professor Oak's lab, where Ash stores his Pokémon.
