The Warden, the novel's villain, owns and runs Camp Green Lake in the Texas desert. She's a tall, red-haired woman who is soft spoken but nasty: she knows that she's the most powerful person at camp and uses this to intimidate anyone who challenges or bothers her, children and adults alike.
The Warden is the cruel, authoritarian leader of Camp Green Lake, as well as the owner of the land upon which the camp is situated. While Mr. Sir is characterized by his militaristic approach and Mr. Pendanski by his casual meanness, The Warden consistently maintains an icy, polite demeanor.
Warden Louise Walker (b-1948), is the main antagonist of Holes. She is the granddaughter of Charles "Trout" Walker and Linda Walker. The Warden is shown to have been digging holes as she grows up and does nothing else other than trying to finish the work of looking for the treasure of Kissin' Kate Barlow (Katherine Barlow).
The Warden is a cruel and obsessive character in Holes who runs Camp Green Lake and searches for a suitcase. She has a dark past, a violent temper, and a twisted relationship with fate and the boys.
Character Analysis. We get the shivers just thinking about the Warden. This scary lady is a descendent of Trout and Linda Walker, the original owners of Green Lake, and just like them, she's greedy, selfish, and has a one-track mind. She's A Maniac, Maniac (That's For Sure) The Warden, of course, is the villain of the story.
The Warden shines a flashlight on Zero, who is holding the suitcase until she sees that there is a deadly yellow-spotted lizard on the suitcase. Stanley realizes he is standing in a lizard's nest. The Warden, along with Mr. Pendanski and Mr. Sir, wait for the lizards to leave.
Holes Character Analysis. Stanley Yelnats IV. Stanley, the protagonist of Holes, is a dynamic character. He changes during the course of the novel due to the influence and effect of his experiences and actions. As the novel begins, Stanley has low self-esteem. He is overweight and is accustomed to having bad luck.
