Opium is an American record label and rap collective that was founded in 2019 by American rapper Playboi Carti. The label, which is based in Atlanta, Georgia, currently holds four acts all of whom are natives to the city; Playboi Carti himself, rappers Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely, and the duo Homixide Gang.

I just figured out that the opium symbol is a simplified version of what the top of a poppy looks like. This discovery leads me to believe that it shows how much carti cares ab his art. The simplified version of the symbol is in itself symbolic in cartis style as he does so much w so little.
