Klaxons were an English rock band, based in London. Following the release of several 7-inch singles on different independent record labels , as well as the success of previous singles " Magick " and " Golden Skans ", the band released their debut album, Myths of the Near Future on 29 January 2007.

Klaxons are a London band part of the much ballyhooed nu-rave movement. The four Klaxons members are originally from Bournemouth and Stratford-upon-Avon. Their debut single ‘Gravity’s Rainbow’ arrived on Angular Records in April, 2006, though only 500 copies were released on 7" vinyl (the band decorated the sleeve themselves).
