Pamela Andrea Shipman (nee Gryglaszewska; b. 1953) is a fictional character in the television series Gavin & Stacey. She is portrayed by Alison Steadman. Pam is 54 at the start of the series, who lives with her son, Gavin, and her husband, Mick, in Billericay, Essex.

During the first two series Gavin lives with his parents Mick ( Larry Lamb) and Pam ( Alison Steadman ). In the third series, he has moved in with Stacey and Stacey's mother, Gwen ( Melanie Walters ). Uncle Bryn ( Rob Brydon) lives directly opposite.
Michael "Mick" Shipman (b. 1950) is a fictional character in the television series Gavin & Stacey. He is portrayed by Larry Lamb. Mick is fifty-seven at the start of the series, living with his wife, Pam, and his son, Gavin, in Billericay, Essex.
Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb star as Gavin's parents Pam and Mick, Melanie Walters plays Stacey's mother Gwen, and Rob Brydon plays Stacey's uncle Bryn. Baby Cow Productions produced the sitcom for BBC Wales. Three series totalling twenty episodes were broadcast from 13 May 2007 to 1 January 2010 on BBC Three and later on BBC One.
