I would argue it’s far from safe. It has the potential to cause brain damage as well as nerve damage. Even then, the results aren’t always aesthetic either. Some people report worsened asymmetry, but besides that it can sometimes look unnatural and unattractive. Imo indigenous Swiss (the bonesmashing youtuber) went overboard with it.
