The Cross were an English rock band formed in 1987 by Queen drummer Roger Taylor. They released three studio albums before splitting up in 1993. In contrast to Queen and other outside projects, Taylor fronted the band and played rhythm guitar instead of drums.

Publicando anuncios anónimos en los periódicos para audicionar, en dichas audiciones seleccionó a Peter Noone, Clayton Moss, Josh Macrae, y Spike Edney, este último ya había participado junto a Queen en las giras The Works Tour y Magic Tour entre 1984 y 1986.

It was a huge success, and there were some nice surprises, as Roger singing second part of Let Me Live and his Heaven For Everyone completely differently arranged (to The Cross’ version) – which also became a single and got two different videos.
Shove It is the debut album by UK rock band The Cross. The group was founded and led by Roger Taylor, best known as the drummer for Queen, though he was the rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist for The Cross. The album features a mix of dance and rock, and can be considered Taylor's third solo album after 1984’s Strange Frontier .
