Skaneateles (/ ˌ s k æ n i ˈ æ t l ə s / SKAN-ee-AT-ləs, locally / ˌ s k ɪ n-/ SKIN-) [4] is a town in Onondaga County, New York, United States. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 7,112. [2] The name is from the Iroquois term for the adjacent Skaneateles Lake, which means "long lake."

Beautiful lake with the clearest water! Stunning views from the shores of the Village of Skaneateles that offer a great variety of services to the area. Banks of lake offer limited commercial areas - thus a more residential-based lake than other Finger Lakes (not a negative, just a fact).
