Wayne Krantz is an American guitarist and composer. He has performed and recorded with Steely Dan, Michael Brecker, Donald Fagen, Billy Cobham, Chris Potter, David Binney, and Carla Bley. Since the early 1990s, Krantz has focused primarily on his solo career, mostly as the leader of a trio with Tim Lefebvre and Keith Carlock.
12 de mar. de 2021 · Not long after committing a final mix to tape, Music Room 1985 was left behind -- a victim of the machinations of the music industry and Krantz’s own rapidly accelerating career as both a bandleader and a hired gun. Even Krantz himself didn’t manage to hang on to a copy.
But with Light, her improvising sounded more confident and assured. Stern's sympathetic company includes David Sanborn (alto sax), Paul Socolow (bass), Dennis Chambers (drums), and fellow guitarist Wayne Krantz (with whom she has often joined forces).
