VOLCANES ACTIVOS. El IGP ha identificado 16 volcanes activos y potencialmente activos en el país, distribuidos en las regiones de Ayacucho, Cusco, Arequipa, Moquegua y Tacna. De ellos, los 12 volcanes de mayor riesgo para la población son vigilados de manera permanente y en tiempo real por el IGP.
