Tom worked solo for 10 hours a day, 5 to 6 days a week. After her launch work continued intermittently for some months; trialling and improving where necessary. She is built with a combination of traditional and modern materials and techniques, using the ‘clinker’ method of construction, with epoxy glue and copper nails used to fasten the planks.

6 de oct. de 2023 · Tom Robinson was rescued near his upturned rowing boat on Friday morning about 185 kilometres from Vanuatu by P&O Cruises Australia's Pacific Explorer. Tamu Tapaitau from Mr Robinson's shore team said the 24-year-old's distress beacon was activated about 5pm on Thursday after the boat was damaged.
